Or perhaps they'll recruit the
talents of one Mr. Air Bud

Hats off to the players on the Hanna, Okla., High School basketball team. Hopelessly outclassed by their arch rivals, the Earlsboro Wildcats, they could have just given up. But they hung in there, and what happened in the end? They lost 112-2. But that one basket was beautiful, baby.

Besides, I'm sure they'll pull together and, after overcoming obstacles both personal and athletic (lack of coordination, distant fathers who come around just in time for the big game, an ambivalent coach who comes to realize that yes, while he'd love to still be playing professional basketball, it's here with these lovable losers that he'll find true satisfaction), will come from behind to win the state championship against all odds.

Or there's always the math team.

My sources* say that it wasn't until the 4th quarter that the Wildcats realized that the other team had gone home hours before.

also..

When the team scored the two points they heard someone in the stands say "They are back in it!"
This person was later found in the alley behind the school with what appeared to be wedgie burns.

This reminds me that I haven't downed a fifth of Vodka and watched Hoosiers over and over while wearing my Junior High School basketball jersey in a long time.

So many hobbies, so little time.

It was a total ripoff. The ref calling the game was totally on the Wildcat's side. They were using a freakin ladder for cripes sake!!! Throwing around buckets of confetti.. what's that?

But keep up the good work, Hanna, Okla. the next generation of National's players have to come from somewhere.
Remeber the Globetrotters might be the stars but you do your part. You don't just lose. You lose spectacularly!

haha, I graduated at Earlsboro and went there from 6th grade to Senior year. I almost went to that game, but didn't. I now wish i would have, cause it would've been hilarious to watch. Go Wildcats!!!
