So that means it's a death ray, right?

Boxy is the new sexy.

This week's Invention of the Week award goes to Coherent, which has come up with what we've all been waiting for: a 20 W ultraviolet laser that can dice wafers and scribe large-area solar cells. The AVIA 355 nm source operates at pulse repetition rates as high as 150 kHz and gives a beam quality of less than M2 1.3.

OK, I'll admit I have no idea what any of that means. I just wanted you to think I was smart.

Here's a better suggestion: The onion you can eat like an apple. Now, that's an invention I can understand. Mmmm .... Onions ....

Would the onion rings be tasty, or too sweet? Hm....Apple onion rings.....sounds like something a fast food restaurant would make and make it sound "healthy."

So would you still put salt on them and what about the catsup? What's an onion ring without a little catsup?

is it catsup or ketchup? Because frankly the idea of putting cat sup on anything just sounds weird....I don't know about the salt, I would think it would be necessary. And since ketchup (catsup) is tomato (which is a fruit) how many servings of fruit do you get when you eat the apple onion rings and some ketchup (catsup)? Hm......

Yeah, you could eat a raw onion whole, but what does your breath smell like afterwards?
Goes great with corn flakes...

If you ate the onion would start to cry?

I love onions, but I do not think there will be such an onion. If you could invent the machine that changes favor of the onions to the one of apple, it would be nice for people who hate the onions.

Yay onions! I'm glad there are other people out there who love onions as much as I do. I hope those'll be on sale in Canada. Eh.

Those onions grown in Vedalia, Georgia are probably as close as we'll get. Tasty ones, they are.
