Plus basically anything
anybody said in 'Red Dawn'

Lines inexplicably missing from AFI's list of top 100 movie quotes:
  • "I want my two dollars."
  • "Demented and sad, but social."
  • "It's the end of the month, they're out of toilet seat covers!"
  • "I can't believe my grandmother actually felt me up."
  • "Number 5 is alive!"

Hmmm ... Do you suppose it's possible I spent a little too much time at the movies during the '80s?

I watched that! And there is one... Just one we were waiting for.. Luke, I am your father. Call me crazy... One of the biggest lines ever... And I found it terribly bothersome that they had 6 lines from one movie. Yes, they were good lines, but lets be a little creative. :P

They missed my favorite:
Elijah Cook Jr. to Bogart in "The Maltese Falcon" - "You're going to be pickin' iron out of your
liver. . . "

"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that."

I think the best quote from "Better Off Dead" should be "Wait....This stuff is pure snow!"

Dan -that is "inconceivable".

My favorite line (could be a song I guess)"Look Richard, Fat Guy in a little suit, Fat guy in a little suit."

"They took the BAR! The whole f#*king BAR!!!"

"They FUCK YOU at the drive-thru, okay? They FUCK YOU at the drive-thru! They know you're gonna be miles away before you find out you got fucked! They know you're not gonna turn around and go back, they don't care. So who gets fucked? Ol' Leo Getz! Okay, sure! I don't give a fuck! I'm not eating this tuna, okay?"

One of my favorite '80s lines is from a movie hardly anyone saw, but I think is hilarious - "Blind Date" starring Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger. Neither of them spoke this line. And it's not the line so much as the delivery. John Laroquette played the asshole (as he always does) and rival for Basinger's affections. His dad was the voice of KITT, but his real name escapes me. Anyway, the dad got up in the middle of the night to go shut up the dog who was barking and Laroquette gets up and yells down, "What the hell are you doing?" and his dad goes, "I'm planting corn. What the hell does it look like?" I suggest you rent the movie so you can fully appreciate it. :)

Ok, I believe you have all forgotten....
"Beam me up Scotty!"
"Live long and prosper"
Two greats among the very best I'd say!
